For Adults
Mini Groups
Mini Groups get together weekly or fortnightly in homes around the city. The objective of these groups is to provide mutual support and care, to encourage individuals’ devotional lives and to pray in-depth for each other and each other’s family and friends.
8teen30s
8teen30s is for young adults who are over 18 (and have left school) up to and including those in their 30s. 8teen30s is all about getting to know one another, sharing experiences and being encouraged in our faith. We meet socially for various activities as well as in single-sex Mini Groups.
> 65
The more mature adults get together socially on an ad hoc basis. Their time together often involves food, as well as enjoying a variety of outings together.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
We meet for a Men’s Prayer Breakfast five times a year normally on the last Saturday of January, March, May, September, and November. The prayer time usually includes a time of devotion in smaller groups, however there is no set agenda; apart from the all important food. This event is held from 8.30-10am and is open to all men, including those from other Salt and Light churches in the region. There is no charge, although we do invite donations to cover the cost of the food. Should you wish to come it is important that you book your place at least two days in advance so that we are all well fed.
Men’s Prayer and Soup
“Prayer Soup” provides an opportunity for men to come together, share a simple soup lunch, and pray. Topics for prayer range from local and personal concerns to world events. Prayer soup takes place on the third Monday of each month from 1-2pm. All are welcome and there is no charge. For catering purposes, please book your place by contacting the office or Phil Clayfield.
